Both DriveNow and car2go services will temporarily operate the same way with the same scope. This applies for all aspects of the services according to the GTCs in the appropriate country where you are registered as a customer respectively where you use DriveNow or car2go. What changes, is that customers can find the fleet of DriveNow and car2go now in both apps in cities where the respective services are available.
To register at DriveNow, you need to be at least 21 years old and must have been in possession of a valid driving license for at least one year. You also need to have a valid credit or bank debit card to use as a means of payment.
Before you cancel your contract, please bear in mind that it doesn’t cost you anything to remain a customer. You can still stay as a customer, even if you don’t plan to use DriveNow for a while. You don’t pay anything if you don’t use DriveNow.
Two days after your rental, they will send you an email with the corresponding invoice, which can be used for tax purposes. The amount due will be debited from your credit card. You can see a summary of the invoices corresponding to your recent journeys in the customer login area on the DriveNow website, under “Invoices“.
Every time you use a DriveNow, you will be charged 1€ for their CDW insurance. This will automatically reduce your excess to 350 EUR. If you are involved in an accident, which is considered full or partial, you will only be liable up to the excess amount. If the damage is considered to be caused through gross negligence, this agreement will be waived.
