World Book Day will be celebrated soon and it would be nice to know some ways in which you can take part in the celebrations. Let’s explore 5 ways in which teachers can help make this day fun for their students.

1. You can dress up as your favourite character from your favourite book and have a costume parade to show off your costumes. To get more ideas on what characters you can dress up as, please read the Unique World Book Day Costumes blog and enjoy some great DIY costume ideas you can use.
2. Host a readathon where you can raise money for charities and proceeds go towards buying books for children who cannot afford it. Award gifts and prizes for the students for encouragement.
3. You can have a competition where children guess how many books are in the school library.
4. Have the children design a giant book cover for the classroom and have them decorate it and write little short stories and paste them on the cover to decorate the classroom.
